Democratic Advancement PAC Endorses Footlik

Highland Park, IL – Democratic candidate for Illinois’ 10th congressional district Jay Footlik picked up another endorsement today in his bid to bring change to Washington. The Democratic Advancement Political Action Committee, which backs strong progressive candidates in competitive districts, has thrown their support behind Footlik in advance of the February primary. “Harry Truman once said that if you run a Republican against a Republican, the Republicans will win every time,” said Tom Cramer, President of DAPAC. “We’re standing with Jay Footlik in this primary because he is committed to ending the President’s directionless war in Iraq, lowering health care costs and cleaning up the culture of corruption in Washington. The country is in desperate need of change, and Jay is the only candidate in this race who can deliver it.” “I am proud to have earned DAPAC’s support,” Footlik said. “Their endorsement underlines a key difference between myself and my opponent: I think voters are looking for someone with the experience to hit the ground running and reverse the damage that Mark Kirk and President Bush have done to our country. Voters will have a choice on February 5th, and DAPAC’s endorsement makes the difference between us clear.”
