Jay Footlik is the person who knows our country needs to change into a place with expanded health care coverage and has both the background and ability to see we get it.

Jay knows what it is like to watch a parent debate whether to take a sick child to the doctor because his single mother who used food stamps to feed her family had to make those choices. Jay had to forego health care coverage for himself for a time because he had to repay student loans.

Jay will both improve existing programs and create new ones when he goes to Congress to change our society into one that provides health care for all of us. More important, Jay's experience as a special assistant to President Clinton as well as a success in the private sector has taught him how to work with others to effect positive change.
